Some packs, through a volunteer family program chair, actively encourage and support families pursuing this award. If your pack does not promote and support the family program, your family may still participate on its own. The BSA Fun for the Family! Activity Book (available at your local council service center) gives all the requirements as well as step-by-step instructions for earning the BSA Family Award. We also have scanned the pages here for you download. As of June 2009's Pack Meeting, we are encouraging families to earn the Shaping Your Family's Identity award. If you weren't able to attend, you can pick up the packets at a future Pack Meeting, or you can download the information from below. In the future we will continue to encourage families to earn the awards. There are 5 different categories, each with its own award patch. To earn the patch, your family must complete 2 of the activities listed. By completing 2 additional activities you can earn the corresponding pin as well. Families who earn all 5 awards will also get a certificate. |
